Farzaneh Hajirasouliha

Dr. Farzaneh Hajirasouliha

Farzaneh Hajirasouliha is a researcher at Northumbria University, UK. Her BSc and MSc were in the fields of chemical engineering-food industry and chemical engineering-pharmaceutical engineering, respectively. Now, as a PhD student at the department of mechanical and construction engineering, She working on the interactions of nanoparticles at air-liquid interfaces covered by different surfactants. Her areas of interest include surfactants, foamability, wettability, adsorption isotherms, and particles interactions at biosystems.

Dr. Ester Vazquez

Ester Vázquez is a prominent figure in the field of chemistry. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Castilla-la Mancha in 2000, specializing in microwave-assisted organic reactions. Over the years, she has worked in various prestigious institutions and has made significant contributions to the functionalization and purification of carbon nanostructures. Currently, she is a Full Professor at UCLM and the director of IRICA. Her research has facilitated collaborations with industrial partners and European groups, particularly within the Graphene Flagship project.

Dr. Cesar Augusto Correia de Sequeira

César Augusto Correia de Sequeira, born in 1943 in Portugal, is a renowned figure in the field of electrochemistry. Graduating in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Lisbon in 1968, he joined Instituto Superior Técnico as a Lecturer. He obtained his PhD from London University in 1974 and has since been a pivotal part of the University of Lisbon’s teaching staff, co-founding the CECUL in 1976. Over his career, he has directed numerous international electrochemistry projects, authored over 650 technical publications, and held positions in various prestigious societies. Today, he coordinates the Materials Electrochemistry Group at IST.

Dr. Mehdi Ghommem

Mehdi Ghommem worked as a research scientist with Schlumberger for three years. He was involved in conducting and supporting research projects along with recommending scientific approaches, novel concepts and technical solutions to monitor and control well stimulation operations. Prior to joining Schlumberger, he had a postdoctoral experience in the Center for Numerical Porous Media at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia. His research interests include nonlinear dynamics, model reduction of large dynamical/energy systems, and flow in porous media. Dr. Ghommem has published about 50 refereed journal papers and holds a couple of patents.

Dr. Li Li

Dr. Li Li, Senior Research Fellow at the Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (AIBN), focuses on developing functional inorganic nanoparticles and nanocomposites for drug and RNA delivery, oral vaccines, and agriculture. Her innovations include stimuli-responsive nanoparticles and functional nanocomposites for targeted delivery and mucosal barrier diffusion. Her research interests span hybrid inorganic nanoparticles for combinational cancer therapies and multimodal imaging-guided therapies. She holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and has earned multiple fellowships and industry collaborations.
